FRANKFURT-COLOGNE - PUBLISHING THE RESULTS:
The Frankfurt-Cologne study group has spent the last two years writing and editing articles for a book on the subject of our research. The book will contain articles on the following topics:
- An overview of the general neuropsychological theory of neglect and anosognosia, the issue of “awareness of illness” (Franz Dick)
- Report of a psychotherapy with an 80-year old woman suffering from a neglect-syndrome (Hans-Joachim Rothe)
- An en detail case report from the treatment of a 50-year old woman suffering from a neglect/anosognosia-syndrome (Laura Viviana Strauss)
- a neuropsychoanalytic model of the neglect-syndrome based on our findings (Klaus Roeckerath)
We also added articles from other realms of the neuropsychoanalytic field of research in order to point out the many possibilities this field has to offer. Those are:
- a case of poliomyelitis is described as an example of how embodied memories come to the surface during a psychoanalytic process (Marianne Leuzinger-Bohleber)
- ageing as a means by which mental functions may decrease and influence the personality, very often unnoticed by the person himself (Gabriele Junkers)
- a case of phantom pain that shows the multiple links between psychic and physical trauma, interwoven with the personality of the patient (Johannes Doeser)
The book will have a foreword by Mark Solms and a kind of résumé with prospective thoughts about the future of neuropsychoanalysis (Laura Viviana Strauss and Klaus Roeckerath)
The final details (publisher, date of appearance etc.) will be posted here once they are confirmed.
