Neuropsychoanalysis is an emerging field of study which at this point in time is engaged in interdisciplinary exploration of the association between neurology, neuropsychology, neuroanatomy, and psychoanalysis. Psychoanalysis, whose founding father Freud was quite an accomplished neurologist of his day, initially sought to develop a metapsychology, a model of the mind based on clinical investigation. Freud always hoped that in the future as knowledge about the brain increased psychoanalysis would incorporate these understanding to revise our theoretical speculations about the nature of the psyche. The primary investigatory tool of neuropsychoanalysis is the use of the clinical-anatomical observational method used by Freud when he practiced in neurology (see his book On Aphasia, 1891) and in neuropsychology made famous by Luria. One of the best ways to learn more about emerging knowledge in this field would be to subscribe to the journal, view n-psa DVD's from prior conferences, and check out areas of interest on the recommended reference list.

This year the Istanbul Neuro-Psychoanalysis Study Group focused on activities that will spread the neuropsychoanalytic approach among the specialists in Istanbul and interdisciplinary brainstorming and further research.
1. On 24 January 2007, the first panel of the Turkish Psychological Association Istanbul Branch was organized by our group. The panel “Neuro-Psychoanalysis in Istanbul!” was directed by Professor Giiler Fis, ek from the Psychology Department of Bogazici University. Speakers included clinical psychologist Fatma Gokce Ozkarar from Nisan Psychotherapy Center and psychiatrist Saffet Murat Tura from Imago Psychotherapy Center. Ozkarar presented an introductory overview of the neuropsychoanalytic approach to body-mind dualism, how Eastern philosophy of mind can provide wholeness for the approach, and how neuropsychoanalysis can be implemented in psychotherapeutic settings. On the other hand, Tura discussed the main episte. I actually want to get some important information about different types of topics like debt consolidation loans. Your post is really nice dear. I like it very much. Thanks for sharing such a nice and unique information with us.

Neuro-psychoanalysis fits under the more general heading of neuropsychology: relating biological brain to psychological functions and behavior. As Oliver Sacks has written: "Neuropsychology, like classical neurology, aims to be entirely objective, and its great power, its advances, come from just this. But a living creature, and especially debt help with a human being is first and last . . . a subject, not an object. It is precisely the subject, the living `I,' which is excluded from neurology" (Sacks 1984, 164) . Neuro-psychoanalysis seeks to remedy that exclusion.
